Hello, this is Manami.
I wanted to annouce the release of two illustration designed t-shirts by me for the Uwajima City Flood Recovery Charity T-shirt campaign and sales have begun today! ☺
(We bought a couple ourselves as soon as they started selling)
Two t-shirt designs were made. One shows cute “Mikan” or Japanese tangerines stacked on top of each other, helping each other back up. The other is that of cute pearls heading back into their shell home. Uwajima City is most famously known for Mikan and pearl production and these two resources produced were heavily damaged and stopped due to the heavy rain and flooding that occurred in Japan earlier this summer.
Because Uwajima is also my hometown, at the time of the floods I was really worried about my family and friend’s well-being. When I heard of the breaking news I could imagine what would happen if something similar were to occur in Tokyo.
When I heard about the charity t-shirts opportunity, I felt great honor to be able to participate in this kinds of project.
I would be very greatful to those who are able to buy a t-shirt for the sake of giving back to those affected by the floods in Western Japan.
You can get your designed t-shirt below! Click the link and show some support! Also, it seems that they are still looking for more t-shirt designs for this project, so if you are interested please contact them below.
As you may have heard, there was a huge earthquake that occurred in Hokkaido the other day. This year has been filled with constant disasters after natural disaster…
We pray from the bottom of our hearts for the earliest possible reconstruction of the disaster area.
